Why do people still play gacha neon?
Some video games are meant to be played once and finished, they are more of a narrative experience than something that you will return to again and again. But there are also games like this in the main course of the game industry – mobile games or casual MMOs for example which are designed to be played multiple times by many players.
These are the same basics for a gacha game, they are supposed to be played for a really long time, and by that we don’t mean long gaming sessions at a time, but rather have the player coming back to the game on a daily basis. And for this, you need to have an active community, and to get the active community you also need to keep adding a lot of stuff to the game.
That’s where Gacha Life fell a bit short and where Gacha Neon stood up and used it as an opportunity to rise above it all. Even though the mechanics remained the same there was a huge amount of new content added to Gacha Neon, both visually and with gameplay additions.
And what I liked about the changes that Gacha Life made compared to other Gacha games is that they didn’t do anything out of the ordinary in terms of mechanics, but instead, they focused on the visual presentation. This change alone made Gacha Neon stand out from the crowd.
And sure, you might argue that Gacha Neon is taken mostly out of Gacha Life, and it is true, the basis of the game is the same. After all Gacha Neon is something of a Mod based on Gacha Life, but many games started like that. Do you have an idea of how many PC were pretty much just modified versions of Half-Life? The entirety of Source Engine was created for Half-Life, basically.
So that means that a lot of incredible games, even official games from Valve started as Half-Life mods basically, even games like Left 4 Dead and Portal. So basically Gacha Neon has a lot of potentials to grow into something great, and that’s exactly what they did.
But why do people still play Gacha Neon if the core mechanics haven’t changed? Well, it’s because the game is growing, and it has so much content available. And they keep adding more, the game keeps on growing which only means that the community and player base will keep getting bigger and bigger.
After all, what is a game without a good community? And as I said before, the community around Gacha Neon is very active. They’ve been constantly updating, and adding new things to the game, and keep engaged with a fun experience that’s available to them in the form of events and contests. And this is what makes Gacha Neon such a wonderful game, it’s not just another gacha game, it’s a game that’s constantly growing and changing in order to provide the best possible experience for its players. And it’s centered on the fans because it is also made by fans.
